Biography:

Dr. Zenger had always considered becoming a doctor, but it wasn’t until she was in college and was able to shadow physicians that she made the final decision to pursue medicine as a career. Her experiences in college offered her great exposure to many aspects of healthcare, including being able to help deliver an infant and observing emergency situations in a rural emergency department.


For her role models, Dr. Zenger has always looked to her parents who showed her how to create a good work/life balance that was family centered. (Her parents are well-known farmers in Republic County and her father was once a state representative for north central Kansas.) They taught her what hard work, healthy relationships, and genuine fun and enjoyment looked like. They encouraged her to pursue her career goals for her own happiness.


Dr. Zenger and her husband, Dustin, have two small children–daughter Etta and son Walter. When not practicing medicine, she enjoys baking, traveling, playing board games, reading, and taking walks with their two fur babies, Sissy, a Border Collie and Chip, a rescue mix.
