Bright Beginnings Birthing Center at Republic County Hospital offers a modern facility with highly skilled care for you and your baby. We offer a wide variety of services in our OB Department.
●Your birthing experience will include one-on-one nursing care by a Registered Nurse with specialized training. Along with specialized training in OB, our nurses are trained in Neonatal Resuscitation.
●Our labor and delivery suites offer privacy and comfort which we know is very important during this special time in your life. We offer a hot tub for our mom's comfort during the labor process.
●We encourage our new parents to have their infant room-in, or keep the baby in the room with them. This allows new parents to begin learning their baby's cues while they still have staff support. We encourage our new mothers' partners to stay in the room also.
●We provide 24 hour anesthesia service to allow for enhanced pain management.
Childbirth Education Classes:
Republic County Hospital offers free childbirth education classes to expectant women and their coaches three times a year.
These classes give you the opportunity to prepare for your baby's delivery, meet our staff, and to decrease the fear of the unknown that comes along with pregnancy. We will provide you with the information and resources you need to make informed decisions.
If you are interested in attending Childbirth classes, please contact Angie Hanel at (785) 527-2254. If you are looking for a skilled doctor to meet your needs from pregnancy to delivery and beyond, contact:

Mothers who deliver in other facilities may rent a hospital grade pump for $100 and receive a refund of $25 once the unit is returned. This loan program includes the breast pump kit. Please call Republic County Hospital at 785-527-2254 for more information.
